Every day I get to meet people from all walks of life; varying backgrounds, lifestyles, levels of success and accomplishment. It has become very apparent to me after speaking with thousands of individuals over my 23+ years as a doctor of chiropractic that there appears to be 6 common traits that separate those who live the life of their dreams and those who merely get by. In a world of abundance, we should ALL be experiencing life to the fullest and living our dreams and yet there are only a select few who are “crushing it” while many others are struggling just to make ends meet. Can I share my observations?

Here’s The Secret List Of 6 Common Traits:

Vision

Years ago I gained profound insight from my own personal and professional coaches who taught me that VISION is central to everything in life. As was stressed in both “The Secret” and “The Power of Intention” (both of which I highly recommend), you get what you focus on. Steve Jobs once said that only 3% of people on the planet are dedicated to designing the life of their dreams.  REALLY?  Only 3%?!  What if you sat down one Saturday morning and wrote out a vision of exactly how you’d like to see your life? It’s very simple…the greater the vision, the greater the purpose and the greater the likelihood you will attract into your life exactly what it is you desire.

Purpose

Speaking of purpose, all ultra-successful people (and understand that I use the term successful to indicate those who are living their dreams in all areas of life and not just those who achieve work success) have a driving HUNGER. Their “WHY” is so great that they absolutely refuse to ever give up, especially during rough times. They live their purpose…period. And their purpose IS NOT just self-serving. That’s what living is…finding a purpose in life greater than you!  Finding a purpose that is spirit centric in serving others and knowing that the universe will give back 10 fold.

Business

Those who are ultra-successful live their lives as if it were a business. They have outlined their value systems of integrity, honesty and fair exchange and they never ever allow themselves to compromise those standards. They take time at the end of every month to analyze their “profit and loss statement” for that month and they ensure there is always a profit. They re-invest their time, energy and resources in themselves and in others and understand that in order to stay ahead of the curve, they must never settle.

Train Like a Freak

In the popular book, “Power of Full Engagement”, Jim Loehr outlines that the best athletes in the world play full out, rest, train and then repeat. They get into rituals of focusing on strengthening the key elements of their game. They training on them, put them into action, rest and then do it all over again. I have observed that those who truly succeed in life train everyday on their needs, have weekly goals set out ahead of time that absolutely must be met and then work towards those goals like an Olympian. They know that in doing so, they will and must get the most out of life.

Take breaks

B.J. Palmer use to say, “Don’t take yourself too damn seriously”. Ever meet someone who was so serious that they were toxic just being around? I encourage everyone to pencil in a break at least every quarter; a family vacation, a retreat, or maybe a special weekend away with your spouse. Life isn’t meant to be worked through…it’s meant to be LIVED through. It makes no sense working your ass off only to die rich and miserable? You’ll quickly discover that you will come back refreshed, rejuvenated and will quite possibly see your life grow in ways you’ve never experienced before.

Have No Fear
Fear is the great barrier that minimizes many a person. It has always been the number one reason most people fail in one area of their life or another; a fear of acceptance, a fear of success, a fear of what others will think or say. Fear will often retard one’s true desired outcomes in life. The questions you need to ask yourself are “What do I stand to LOSE by living in fear?” and “What do I stand to GAIN if I live fearlessly?”

Once you realize that the only barriers to living the life of your dreams are the ones you impose on yourself, the universe will have no choice but to manifest those dreams into reality and that’s when true living can finally take place.

Testimonial

I first heard about Inside Out as a sponsor of the Bolton fall fair. I explained to Dr. Ryan that I was in pain for years and only went for treatment for the pain symptoms and not to prevent them, he invited me to come visit him and since then I have no more pain! I’m learning to improve my quality of life in other areas such as listening to my body and helping it function like god intended it too. Since coming to Inside Out I have learned proper exercising and the advanced seminars taught me how to eat healthier and what my body does with what I give it. If you are a new or old client I suggest you keep going, it will improve your quality of life. Thank you Dr. Ryan for everything you have done for me you are making it possible for me to be walking the beach with my spouse in my 70’s.
